The University of Arizona College of Medicine- Tucson, seeks a PGY-2 resident to join our program, commencing July 1, 2025. A successful candidate will join a cohort of 47 pediatric residents and 15 combined pediatric/emergency medicine residents.

Our mission is to recruit and train a diverse group of physicians to become expert pediatricians committed to providing superior medical care to infants, children and adolescents. Our training environment promotes high quality care and graduated autonomy within a comprehensive and personally rewarding educational experience that will allow pursuit of primary care, sub-specialty, academic or public health careers. Our patients come from a large catchment area including children from New Mexico, Southern parts of Colorado, Utah, and Nevada as well as Central and South America. We also have a large immigrant and refugee population from all over the globe. Banner University Medical Center-Tucson, Diamond Children’s Medical Center is a tertiary referral center that provides comprehensive subspecialty care.  It is a Level 1 Trauma Center, the only pediatric trauma center in Southern Arizona, and has a Pediatric ED, a 24-bed PICU and a 40-bed Level 4 NICU.

Tucson offers the best of both worlds—a vibrant city of 1 million people surrounded by the unsurpassable natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Tucson has everything you’d want in a metropolitan city—a wide variety of restaurants (some of the best Mexican food north of the border!), a strong performing arts community, a thriving music scene, and many sporting events, yet the laid-back, relaxed lifestyle of a small town.
