The Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program at MCG, Children’s Hospital of Georgia Heart Center is seeking to fill a position for a first-year fellow starting July 1, 2025. This three-year ACGME-accredited program provides comprehensive education and training in all aspects of pediatric cardiology, preparing fellows for successful careers in both academic and clinical practice.
Our growing Division of Pediatric Cardiology supports our patient population at both the Children’s Hospital in Augusta, GA and throughout the states of GA and SC via pediatric cardiology outreach program. The Children’s Hospital of Georgia is a tertiary care center that also supports a pediatric critical care, neonatology and emergency medicine fellowships. Our team performs a full range of procedures, from neonatal single ventricle repairs to adult congenital heart disease surgeries. Fellows gain hands-on experience in our cardiac catheterization lab, learning cutting-edge techniques in all catheter-based interventions. Our robust ECMO program, supported by dedicated pediatric perfusionists, enhances care for both cardiac and non-cardiac conditions.
The Children’s Heart Center at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia has trained fellows in Pediatric Cardiology for over three decades. Fellows will experience all aspects of pediatric cardiology including fetal cardiology, general pediatric cardiology, advanced imaging, interventional catheterization, electrophysiology (noninvasive and invasive), adult congenital heart disease (ACHD), pediatric cardiac anesthesia and preventative cardiology. The Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship follows a process of graduated responsibilities. During each year, the Fellow has increasing responsibility for the management of patients, always with attending faculty supervision and back-up. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage with our clinical research and quality improvement committees as well as have the potential to be involved in multidisciplinary collaborations.
