The  Children’s National Pediatric Urgent Care Fellowship was established in 2017 and is a 1-year program in the Division of Emergency Medicine.  Our program is recognized as a model of excellence and the first nationally accredited Pediatric Acute Care fellowship program in the country. The Urgent Care fellowship equips the next generation of acute and urgent care physician leaders with the skills to succeed clinically and in scholarship, education, and advocacy. Our fellows train alongside pediatric emergency medicine attendings, fellows, and pediatricians and benefit from the extensive resources available at Children’s National. We provide training in skills ranging from procedural care to bedside ultrasound, research and advocacy, health-care leadership, and quality improvement. Graduates are prepared to address the evolving health care needs of children with acute illnesses. Our alumni are successfully employed at prestigious academic hospitals and both affiliated and independent ambulatory sites.
